Pakistan is set to be represented the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, at the swearing-in ceremony of Bangladesh’s prime minister-in-waiting Tarique Rahman, scheduled for Tuesday in Dhaka.
The matter was confirmed to TIMES of Bangladesh by an official of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the South Plaza of Parliament.
Earlier, it was confirmed that India will be represented by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri at the ceremony. Sources at India’s Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the development to TIMES of Bangladesh.
