International examination board OxfordAQA has organised a two-day teacher training programme on science subjects for the first time in Bangladesh, bringing together over 100 teachers from leading English medium schools across the country.
The event was held at Hotel Sarina in Dhaka on 18 October 2025 and focused on teaching strategies, assessment methods and classroom activities for GCSE science subjects, reads a press release.
Sessions were conducted by OxfordAQA’s international trainer and chief examiner Kevin Lancaster.
The programme was inaugurated by OxfordAQA Country Director for Bangladesh and Nepal Shahin Reza and Kevin Lancaster.
“Bangladesh is an important country for OxfordAQA. We are committed to ensuring student success through teacher training and continuous support,” said Shahin Reza.
“OxfordAQA plans to organise more training programmes in various subjects in the coming months,” he added.
OxfordAQA is an examination board formed through a partnership between Oxford University Press, a department of the University of Oxford, and AQA, the UK’s largest exams board in the UK for GCSE and A Level qualifications.
