The extensive security plan covers 37 parliamentary constituencies spanning seven districts, 62 upazilas, and one city corporation under the Rajshahi sector’s jurisdiction. A total of 146 platoons will operate as mobile and striking forces, staged from 65 base camps.

Additionally, helicopters will be kept on standby to ensure that the Quick Response Force can be deployed to any location within a short timeframe during emergencies.

Colonel Hossain further highlighted that the BGB is increasing the use of modern technology to suppress crime and maintain stability along the border.

He also noted that coordination meetings have been held with India’s Border Security Force (BSF) regarding the border situation. Following the press briefing, the BGB conducted a security drill on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway.
