Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has said the 13th National Parliament is working to fulfill public expectations in a democratic new journey, emphasising that knowledge of the Rules of Procedure is essential for MPs to effectively raise proposals and review bills.

The Speaker made the remarks on Wednesday while addressing an orientation program on “Constitution, Rules of Procedure and Parliamentary Activities” for MPs at the Parliament Secretariat’s oath room.

“The Rules of Procedure are not merely administrative formalities; they are tools for implementing responsibilities,” the Speaker said, adding that MPs represent the people’s trust by ensuring an accountable governance system.
