Oppo has expanded its retail presence in Bangladesh by opening a new flagship store at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Dhaka, strengthening its premium offline sales network as competition intensifies in the smartphone market.
The outlet, branded as the Gamma Company Store 3.0 Pro, opened at the Panthapath shopping mall, according to a company press release.
Designed to the company’s global retail standards, the store showcases Oppo’s latest smartphones alongside Internet of Things devices, wearables, audio products and accessories in an interactive retail environment.
The opening was marked by a football-themed promotional campaign featuring Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan as part of Oppo’s FIFA World Cup campaign.
Bhuyan took on the role of “One-Day Shop Manager”, interacting with customers and fans at the newly opened outlet.
As part of the launch, the company offered signed Jamal Bhuyan T-shirts to the first 100 smartphone buyers on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers purchasing Oppo smartphones were also entered into a promotional prize lottery.
The inauguration was attended by Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan, Oppo Headquarters Retail Operation Managers Kyle and Science, Oppo Bangladesh Deputy General Manager and Head of GTM Liu Bo (Jade), Head of Brand Store Business Development Wang Haining (Vic), Head of Brand Store Operations Lia, Marketing Director Kathy and Head of Marketing Md Nazimudoula Niloy.
Oppo said the flagship store forms part of its strategy to strengthen its premium retail footprint and enhance the in-store customer experience in Bangladesh.
