Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 18 people on Sunday in the second phase of Operation Devil Hunt 2, officials said.
The arrests were made across Gulshan, Cantonment, Mohammadpur, Pallabi, Turag, Jatrabari, and Uttara West police stations.
Gulshan police arrested one person, Cantonment one, Mohammadpur three, Pallabi eight, Turag one, Jatrabari three, and Uttara West one, according to a press release by DMP Media and Public Relations Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman PPM.
The arrested individuals are Md Saddam Hossain, Md Abbas Ali, Md Sujon, Shah Alam, Md Salauddin, Humayun Ahmed Tushar, Md Sijuka, Md Mostakim, Md Dillu, Md Mithu, Md Said Hossain alias Boltu, Moyna Begum, Shamim alias Kalu, Md Ali Azam, Md Ali Hossain, Mohammad Alomgir, and Rupa Akter.
Police said all the detainees have been sent to court for legal action.
