Newly elected Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Sadik Kayem, along with newly elected General Secretary SM Farhad and other student leaders, visited former DUCSU VP and Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday afternoon.

Shakil Uz Zaman, senior council member and office coordinator of Gono Odhikar Parishad, has confirmed the matter.

Party sources said the DUCSU representatives met Nur to inquire about his health condition and expressed their concern and support during the brief meeting.

Nur has been receiving treatment at DMCH since August 29, when he was reportedly assaulted by members of law enforcers outside his party office in the capital’s Bijoynagar area. He was hospitalised the same night and is currently recovering in a cabin.
