The Election Commission (EC) has decided to grant registration to three political parties, including the National Citizen Party (NCP), ahead of the upcoming 13th parliamentary polls.
At a briefing held at the Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon on Tuesday, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the information.
Ahmed said after final review, the commission has decided to grant registration to the NCP, Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (Marxist), and Bangladesh Aam Jonogon Party.
He added that a public notice will be published in newspapers on Wednesday inviting claims and objections. After resolving any issues, these registrations will be finalised.
