Nahid Rana made a big jump in the latest ICC ODI rankings after his strong show against New Zealand. The Bangladesh pacer moved up 32 places. He now stands at 64th. His rise came after he took five wickets in the second match.
Rishad Hossain also moved up the list. The spinner took one wicket in that game. He climbed 10 places and is now at 58th. Shoriful Islam kept his good form going. The left-arm pacer took two wickets in each of the two matches. He now holds the 39th spot.
Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz dropped two places. He is now ranked 8th after taking only one wicket in the series so far. Mustafizur Rahman also slipped. The left-arm pacer missed the series due to injury. He went down seven places to 55th.
The series between Bangladesh and New Zealand is level at 1-1 after two matches. Bangladesh won the second match by six wickets. The win also helped the batters in the rankings.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim played a key role in the chase. He scored 76 runs and moved up 14 places to 40th. Towhid Hridoy stayed unbeaten on 30. He went up five places and is now joint 26th with Mohammad Rizwan.
Daryl Mitchell still leads the ODI batter rankings. He keeps the top spot even though he is not part of this series.
