Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern about the news of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s illness. He has wished for the swift recovery of the three-time former Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
In a message posted on the social media platform X on Monday, he wrote, “deeply concerned to learn about the health of Begum Khaleda Zia, who has contributed to Bangladesh’s public life for many years.”
Modi went on to add that his prayers were with the BNP chairperson and hoped for her swift recovery.
“India stands ready to extend all possible support, in whatever way we can,” he concluded.
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital for the past few days due to various age-related complications.
