Modhumoti Bank PLC has launched its Bangla QR payment service and signed an agreement with Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd to expand QR-based digital payments across the technology company’s nationwide showroom and dealership network, the bank said in a press release.
The Bangla QR Acquiring service was inaugurated at the bank’s head office on 30 June by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Shafiul Azam. The event also featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Modhumoti Bank PLC and Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd to facilitate Bangla QR-based payment services.
Under the agreement, Modhumoti Bank will enable customers to make secure and convenient digital payments using Bangla QR at the showrooms and dealership points of Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd.
Md Shafiul Azam and Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Managing Director of Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Among those present at the launch were Shahnawaj Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director; Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer; and Arif Hasan Khan, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, along with other senior officials of the bank, according to the press release.
