A special classical music evening will be held on Wednesday at the historic Lalbagh Fort in Old Dhaka, to celebrate the 163rd birth anniversary of South Asian classical legend and music maestro Ustad Alauddin Khan.
Scheduled to take place at 7 pm and organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs (MoCA) under the supervision of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), the program is part of the Ministry’s ongoing initiative to pay tribute to legendary figures who have made extraordinary contributions to Bangladesh’s art and cultural heritage.

The evening will feature a performance by Ustad Siraj Ali Khan, the great-grandson of Ustad Alauddin Khan. He will be accompanied on tabla by Archik Bandyopadhyay.
In addition, a group of talented young artists will also perform, adding new energy to the celebration of the maestro’s legacy.
