The government has appointed SM Mizanur Rahman (Sohel) as the assistant private secretary (APS) to Mirza Abbas, the political adviser to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
According to a notification, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Tanvir Hasan Ruman, the appointment was made in accordance with the intention of Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, who holds the rank of a minister.
The order specifies that the appointment will remain effective for as long as Mirza Abbas holds his position as an adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office and retains his intention to keep Mizanur in the post.
