The Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment has launched a helpdesk and hotline to support workers bound for the Middle East whose flights have been cancelled or whose visas have expired.
The step was taken at the directive of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury, according to a handout issued by the Press Information Department.
Affected migrant workers have been asked to contact the toll-free hotline 16135 for round-the-clock information and assistance regarding flight suspensions and visa expiry complications.
The ministry said flights to Middle Eastern destinations remain suspended due to the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict, creating uncertainty for outbound workers.
