Mir Hasib Mahmud, the founder of Lead Nation Academy, has been honoured with the “Best Innovative Entrepreneur” award at the National MSME Award 2026. He received the accolade in recognition of his innovative contributions to skill development and the creation of entrepreneurs in the country.
The award was presented to him on Friday at a ceremony held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium in the capital. The annual event is organised by the Bangladesh Small and Medium Enterprise Entrepreneurs Association to recognise the outstanding contributions of small, cottage, medium, and innovative entrepreneurs.
Under the leadership of Mir Hasib Mahmud, Lead Nation Academy has become one of the fastest-growing skill-based education and entrepreneurship development institutions in Bangladesh.
The organisation operates various activities to help young people acquire practical skills, create employment opportunities, develop leadership, and establish themselves as entrepreneurs. Leading corporate officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, academics, and industry experts are involved in the institution’s training, consultancy, professional development programmes, and industry-academia collaborative initiatives.
A primary goal of Lead Nation Academy is to prepare the country’s youth with future-ready skills while creating an effective bridge between education, industry, and employment. The institution has already achieved significant success in various national and international competitions and entrepreneurship development programmes.
Upon receiving the honour, Hasib said the achievement is not merely personal, but a recognition of the collective efforts of the entire Lead Nation Academy team, consultants, partner organisations, and thousands of students and young entrepreneurs.
He remarked that through skill, innovation, and proper guidance, the youth of Bangladesh will become the primary driving force of the country’s future economy and development.
He further shared that Lead Nation Academy plans to expand its activities to various districts across the country in the future. Work is also underway to transform the institution into a world-class platform for education and innovation by strengthening international-standard skill development, research, and cooperation between industrial and educational institutions.
Stakeholders expressed hope that this recognition at the National MSME Award 2026 will further accelerate Lead Nation Academy’s initiatives in innovative education and skill development, opening new doors of possibility for the nation’s youth.
