A 32-year old man was killed after a pickup van struck his motorcycle near Terminal-3 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Ashraful Alam, son of the late Moksed Ali from Kalni village in Joydebpur, Gazipur.
According to the victim’s cousin, Hasan Al Arif, the accident occurred around 11:15pm while Ashraful was riding his motorcycle in front of the terminal. He died on the spot after being hit by the van.
Hasan, assisted by Airport Police, recovered the body and took it to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 2:15am on Sunday after completing legal procedures.
Constable Ismail of Airport Police Station confirmed that the body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
