Police arrested a man with 40 bottles of Phensedyl during a raid in the capital’s Mirpur Model Thana area.
The arrestee has been identified as Md. Shamim Hasan.
Police said that acting on a secret tip-off, they conducted a drive on 60 Feet Road in South Pirerbagh at around 10:15pm on Tuesday and arrested Shamim Hasan.
During the operation, 40 bottles of Phensedyl were recovered from his possession.
According to primary interrogation, the arrested Shamim Hasan has been involved in the wholesale and retail sale of illegal narcotics, including Phensedyl, in Mirpur and surrounding areas for a long time.
