Police have apprehended a man for allegedly attempting to manufacture a counterfeit seal of the home minister’s office in the capital.
The arrestee was identified as Md Abu Tayeb, 43, who hails from Chakaria Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district.
Acting on a secret tip-off, a team from the Shahbagh Police Station conducted a raid at a seal-making shop named ‘JR & Brothers’, located in Meherba Plaza on Topkhana Road. Tayeb was taken into custody during the operation at the establishment.
Police confirmed that the process of taking legal action against the accused is currently underway at the Shahbagh Police Station.
