The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP), held an inception workshop on the development of lesson learned and best practices video documentation. The event took place on Thursday, 23 April, at the LGED Headquarters seminar room.

The workshop was chaired by Md Azharul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC). Chief Engineer of LGED, Md Belal Hossain, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Hossain highlighted that this initiative goes beyond creating a simple set of videos or printed materials. It aims to build a structured, knowledge-based repository that could serve as a replicable model for future LGED projects. The produced documentaries and fact sheets are expected to be valuable references for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.

Representatives from the assigned consulting firm, Aroni Advertising Ltd, presented their approach through a PowerPoint presentation. The session was led by Team Leader Pankaj Palit, Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam, and Assistant Manager (Client Service) Nafis Mohammad.

The workshop was attended by several prominent figures, including Additional Chief Engineers Syeda Asma Khatun, Kazi Saiful Kabir, and Md Wahiduzzaman. Former Additional Chief Engineer Md Ahsan Habib also participated, along with Superintending Engineers Md Anisul Wahab Khan and Md Akhter Hossain, as well as Project Directors, Executive Engineers, and Senior Assistant Engineers from various projects. CReLIC Project Director Md Abdul Khalek, Executive Engineers Md Latif Hossain and Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul, and CReLIC expert consultants Md Abdul Noor, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Sadekur Rahman Bhuiya, Md Masudur Rahman, and Syed Mahbub Ahsan were also present.

The event marked a key step in advancing the CRIMP initiative, which seeks to integrate climate resilience into infrastructure development in Bangladesh.
