Naeem Kibria, a 35-year-old lawyer, has been beaten to death in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area following an altercation with a motorcyclist. The incident occurred on Wednesday.
Police confirmed the matter to journalists on Thursday.
According to police, Naeem was driving his car on Wednesday night when it collided with a motorcycle. During the argument that ensued following the clash, at one point, the motorcycle riders pulled him out of the car and assaulted him.
Naeem became unconscious due to the assault. Later, he was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The father of the deceased has filed a murder case as the plaintiff, with the accused still unknown. Police are currently investigating the matter and checking CCTV footage in the area.
