Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) clinched the Brac Bank Aparajeyo Alo Women’s Hockey Tournament title with a commanding performance in the final.

BKSP sealed the championship on Thursday (01 January) at the Maulana Hockey Stadium, where they overwhelmed the Zone-2 team—made up of players from the Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions—by an emphatic 8–0 margin.

Kona Akter was the standout performer, scoring four goals to spearhead BKSP’s one-sided victory. Wearing jersey number 15, she repeatedly breached the opposition defence as BKSP maintained relentless pressure throughout the match.

The Dhaka–Mymensingh side struggled from the outset and were unable to stem the tide. They conceded three goals in the first quarter, followed by two more in the second. Any hopes of a recovery were extinguished as BKSP added another three goals across the final two quarters to put the contest beyond doubt.

Arpita Pal also played a key role in the final, scoring twice. Her contributions capped a remarkable tournament, as she finished as the top scorer with 22 goals and claimed the highest goal-scorer award.

BKSP’s dominance was further reflected in the individual honours. Ria was named Player of the Tournament, while Moa of Rajshahi received the award for best goalkeeper. The Rising Star accolade went to Apurba from Kishoreganj.

With a blend of clinical finishing and complete control across all quarters, BKSP underlined their superiority to lift the trophy in convincing fashion.
