Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul has strongly condemned the incident where the son of Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahman of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court, Tawsif Rahman Sumon, was killed and his wife Tasmin Nahar was seriously injured in a brutal attack at the judge’s residence around 2:30pm on Thursday.
Immediately after the incident, the law adviser directed the police to ensure the arrest of all criminals and a complete investigation of the incident and relevant law enforcement agencies have taken immediate action in this regard, according to a press release.
The government is in constant communication to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured Tasmin Nahar, the release said, and communication is also being maintained round the clock with the authorities of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Law Adviser Asif Nazrul expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured Tasmin Nahar, the release went on to add.
The law adviser stated that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the security of all members of the judiciary and their families, it concluded.
