Miscreants set fire to a section of the railway line in Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila, causing the Chattogram-bound Turna Nishitha and Bijoy Express trains to be held at the station.
The incident occurred around 2am on Thursday in the Dubla area of the upazila.
Station authorities said train operations remained suspended for about an hour due to the arson. Several Chattogram-bound trains were stranded at the Brahmanbaria Railway Station.
Police rushed to the scene after receiving the report, helped extinguish the fire and then normalised train movement.
