Kuwait temporarily closed its airspace from 4:50 am (0150 GMT) on Thursday and diverted flights to alternative airports following Iranian attacks in the region, authorities said.
The Kuwaiti Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a statement that the decision was taken in light of the Iranian attacks and the potential risk they pose to civil aviation in the region.
It added that the airspace would be reopened and air traffic resumed once the situation improves and the risk factors are eliminated, based on assessments by the relevant authorities.
