Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Bangladesh Bank (BB) signed an agreement on a refinancing scheme under the CMSME sector on June 29, 2026, at Bangladesh Bank’s conference room, the state-run lender said in a press release.
After the signing, Bangladesh Krishi Bank Managing Director Sanchia Binte Ali and Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar exchanged the agreement documents, marking the formal completion of the arrangement between the two institutions.
The agreement is linked to a refinancing scheme designed for the CMSME sector, according to the press release. The signing took place in the presence of senior officials from both Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Bangladesh Bank.
Among those present were Md Abdur Rahim, Deputy Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, and Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy General Manager of the SME Department.
Bangladesh Bank officials present at the event included Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director, and Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department.
Other officials concerned from both institutions also attended the signing ceremony.
