Visiting US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur on Thursday paid tribute at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
He placed floral wreaths at the graves and observed a minute of silence.
In the afternoon, Kapur is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir at the Secretariat.
Later, he will attend an iftar programme organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kapur is scheduled to leave Dhaka tonight.
