JIN of BTS has reached another major milestone, with his solo track “Don’t Say You Love Me” surpassing 1 billion cumulative streams on Spotify.
According to Spotify on August 18, the song, which serves as the title track of JIN’s second mini-album Echo, has become his most-streamed solo song on the platform.
Released in May last year, “Don’t Say You Love Me” is a pop track that explores the complicated emotions of lovers who struggle to let each other go even as their relationship approaches separation.
JIN’s calm, delicate vocals blend with the song’s restrained soundscape, creating an emotionally resonant listening experience.
The song also made a strong impact on international charts following its release. It debuted at No. 90 on the US Billboard Hot 100, marking JIN’s third appearance on the chart after “The Astronaut” in 2022 and “Running Wild”, the title track from his first mini-album Happy, in 2024.
“Don’t Say You Love Me” also reached No. 2 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart and No. 6 on the Billboard Global 200, placing it in the top 10 of two major global music charts.
Meanwhile, Echo achieved a career milestone for JIN, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
The feat marked the highest position achieved by one of his solo albums since his debut as a solo artist.
With “Don’t Say You Love Me” now crossing the billion-stream mark, the track further cements JIN’s growing presence as a solo artist on the global music scene.
