Bangladesh’s leading OTT platform, Bongo, is experiencing a surge in viewership with its latest exclusive release, NORIX 1 Presents ‘Jackpot’. Premiered as a major highlight of the Bongo Eid Fest, the drama marks the first on-screen collaboration between fan-favourite actors Saraf Ahmed Jibon and Shimul Sharma in lead roles.
The duo’s fresh chemistry has already gone viral, attracting widespread acclaim across social media.
Directed by Majidul Islam Shadin, Jackpot is a masterclass in blending suspense with situational comedy. Set in a rugged border region, the story follows the chaotic lives of ‘Dail Kader’ (played by Jibon) and ‘Zira Masud’ (played by Shimul).
Their lives take a dramatic turn when they stumble upon a large, unexpected stash of cash. What follows is a high-stakes game of cat and mouse involving local politics, smugglers, and the police, keeping viewers hooked until the very last frame.
Reflecting on the project’s success, director Majidul Islam Shadin said, “Working with Jibon Bhai and Shimul was an incredible experience. Their off-screen friendship translated into a natural, electric chemistry on camera. We are truly overwhelmed by the positive feedback. Jackpot is ultimately a story about the unpredictability of life and the strange ways fortune favours the bold.”
The release of Jackpot coincides with the grand finale of the Bongo Eid Fest, which showcased six new exclusive premieres over six days. To enhance the viewing experience, Bongo has introduced the One Pack subscription.
This all-in-one package allows viewers to stream the entire Eid Fest library, including Jackpot, completely ad-free. The package also provides full access to live sports for 30 days.
Alongside Zibon and Shimul, the cast features a talented ensemble including Ishtiak Ahmed Rumel and Nidra Neha, among others. The project was overseen by executive producer Sufian Raihan.
NORIX 1 Presents Jackpot is now streaming exclusively on the Bongo app and website.
