Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has further increased the price of Jet fuel, setting the rate for domestic flights at Tk227.08 per litre, inclusive of VAT and taxes.
The new pricing, which took effect from midnight on 7 April 2026, also raised rate for international flights to $1.4806 per litre.
This latest adjustment to Jet A-1 aviation fuel follows a significant hike on 24 March 2026, when the price for domestic flights was raised by nearly 80 percent, moving from Tk112.41 to Tk202.29 per litre. At that time, international rates increased to $1.3216 per litre from $0.7385.
According to the official notification signed by BERC Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Sarkar, the current adjustment was determined based on the average Platts rates published between 23 March and 4 April 2026.
The prices apply to fuel supplied at various locations, including Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram, and airports in Jashore, Sylhet, and Cox’s Bazar.
