Jaya Ahsan-starrer Hues of Longing has been selected for the 13th London Fashion Film Festival 2026 in the UK.

Randeep Bhattacharya and Yudhajit Bagchi jointly wrote and directed the film, produced by Mumbai-based Yanus Films.

Inspired by French poet and playwright Jean Cocteau’s monodrama The Human Voice, the 3-minute-25-second fashion film explores absence, memory and longing, blending fashion, cinema and storytelling.

Shot last year at an old colonial-era house beside the Hooghly River in Serampore, West Bengal, the film uses its walls, verandas and light and shadows to evoke waiting and separation.

“We did it as an experimental work. My experience was extraordinary,” Jaya said, adding that her styling was done by her favourite stylist, Rishabh.

The festival will take place on 23 September at Vue West End, Leicester Square, London. Jaya cannot attend because of a shoot.
