Japan has lauded the credible conduct of Bangladesh’s 13th parliamentary election and extended congratulations to BNP and its Chairman Tarique Rahman, on their electoral success.
In a statement issued by the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka, the government of Japan said, “We wholeheartedly appreciate the credible conduct of the 13th parliamentary election by the people of Bangladesh.”
The embassy conveyed “sincere congratulations to all political parties and leaders, particularly to the BNP and its Chairman, Mr. Tarique Rahman, for their victory.”
Japan also expressed hope for the “smooth and peaceful formation of a new government” and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the existing Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
The message underscored Tokyo’s continued engagement with Dhaka in strengthening bilateral cooperation across key areas of mutual interest.
