Popular actress Jannatul Sumaiya Himi, who frequently appears opposite Mosharraf Karim and Niloy Alamgir, has two new dramas in the pipeline.
Her latest drama Subidhabadi, co-starring Mosharraf Karim, was recently released on YouTube and has received a positive response from viewers.
Written and directed by Mohin Khan, the drama has been gaining popularity since its release.
Another drama, Kane Kom Mone Beshi, featuring Himi opposite Niloy Alamgir, is set to premiere on YouTube within the next few days.
The project is also written and directed by Mohin Khan.
Speaking about her recent projects, Himi said she has worked with Mosharraf Karim in several dramas and has consistently received positive feedback.
“I have acted in many dramas with Mosharraf Karim bhai, and each one has received a good response. Subidhabadi is also getting positive feedback. It has only been a few days since its release, so I hope its popularity will continue to grow,” she said.
On her pairing with Niloy, Himi said audiences particularly enjoy their chemistry and praised the story of Kane Kom Mone Beshi.
Before these projects, Himi appeared in three consecutive dramas—Tanvir Tanmoy’s Rupar Songsar and Sukher Oshukh, and Ahsan Habib Akik’s Digital Hablu—which also earned her praise.
Himi began her artistic journey with dance, music and recitation. She initially trained in music under Sadhana Mitra and later studied at Kachikacha and Chhayanaut before receiving training from Ferdous Ara.
She gained recognition through the Channel i drama Mohor Ali and made her film debut with the Kolkata-produced Hothat Dekha.
Although she has established herself as an actress, Himi has also continued to explore music, releasing songs including Poran Pakhi and Dujon Dujonar.
