Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a demonstration programme in the capital for Wednesday to press home their various demands.
The demands include the legal recognition of the “July Declaration” and the holding of the next national parliamentary elections based on that charter.
The programme will be held in Bijoynagar Water Tank area of the capital in the afternoon.
The programme’s announcement was made on the party’s verified Facebook page on Monday night, with Jamaat central and metropolitan leaders slated to address the protest programme.
The party has urged all leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami to attend the programme in order to make the programme a success.
