A 72-hour teachers’ training programme entitled “Basic Training for Japanese Language Teachers in Bangladesh” by the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh (JALTAB) was started on Monday, according to a press release.
This hybrid training programme is supported by a grant from the Japan Foundation.
Professor Mohammed Ansarul Alam, Kuniaki Okabayashi, and Md Monir Uddin are the trainers in this course. The training programme is also supported by the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh and the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka.
A total of 36 Japanese language teachers from across the country are participating in the training.
In the virtual inaugural ceremony, among others, Kyohei Yamamoto, second secretary of the Cultural Section of the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, Japan Foundation Japanese language expert Takeo Uzawa, and Tomoyuki Fukui were present as guests.
The guests in their speeches highly appreciated the activities of JALTAB and encouraged the participants to do their best in the training.
