Harry Potter fans will have two more illustrated guides to add to their collections next year, with J.K. Rowling announcing new books centred on some of Hogwarts’ most recognisable characters.

According to CBR, The eighth and ninth entries in the ‘Pocket Potters – Little Guides to the Harry Potter Stories’ series, ‘Pocket Potters: Professor McGonagall’ and ‘Pocket Potters: Fred and George Weasley’, will be released on 23 February 2027 in the UK.

Both 32-page hardcover books are written by Rowling. Natalie Smith provides the illustrations for ‘Professor McGonagall’, while Helen Brady illustrates the volume dedicated to the Weasley twins.

The McGonagall book will feature trivia, memorable quotes and Easter eggs about the Hogwarts professor, while the Fred and George edition will revisit the twins’ adventures and their knowledge of the school’s secret passageways.

Previous ‘Pocket Potters’ editions have focused on Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Luna Lovegood, Rubeus Hagrid and Dobby.

The books will arrive as HBO Max prepares to bring the ‘Harry Potter’ story to television, with the new series scheduled to premiere on 25 December 2026.
