The Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.
Details of the discussions are yet to be released, reports Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Earlier in the day, the high-profile Iranian officials arrive in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad for ceasefire talks with the United States.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, according to Dawn.
