The US Embassy has announced a call for applications for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program Spring Semester 2027.
According to a statement attributable to US Mission Spokesperson Poornima Rai, the YES Program provides an opportunity for high school students from Bangladesh to live and study in the United States for one semester.
The initiative seeks to build a network of young leaders who learn first-hand about American culture and principles, whilst sharing their own.
Applicants compete for the programme through a rigorous, merit-based selection process. Selected participants will reside with a US family, attend an American high school, develop leadership skills, and engage in activities to learn about US excellence in governance, business, and innovation.
Since 2004, a total of 530 Bangladeshi students have participated in the YES program.
Prospective candidates can submit their applications online by visiting www.iearnbd.org. The application deadline is on 23 September at 4pm (BST).
For further questions or inquiries, applicants may reach out to [email protected] and/or the US Embassy at [email protected].
