Brazil have named a strong squad for their upcoming friendly matches against Australia and India, with Vinicius Jr and Raphinha among the leading names.
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has included several regular players along with a number of young talents as Brazil begin a new cycle after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Brazil will face Australia twice, on September 25 and 29. They will then travel to Kolkata to face India on October 3.
The first match against Australia will take place at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville. The second will be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
Brazil will then face India at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. It will be the first meeting between Brazil and India.
Brazil last faced Australia in Melbourne in 2017. They won that match 4-0, with Diego Souza scoring twice. Thiago Silva and Taison also found the net.
Ancelotti said the three matches will give Brazil a chance to look at new and young players as they start planning for the future.
“With these three friendly matches, we will begin a new cycle to project the National Team towards the goals of the coming years, which are the 2028 Copa America and the 2030 World Cup,” Ancelotti said.
“We will take advantage of these three friendlies to call up new players for the National Team, especially young players, who can showcase their talent in the coming years.”
Brazil will return to Asia later in the year. They are scheduled to face Japan on November 14 and Singapore on November 17.
