The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast rain or thundershowers at one or two places in Sylhet division over the next 24 hours, commencing 9am Saturday.
A BMD bulletin issued this morning said, “Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division.”
Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
Day and night temperatures may rise by 1–2°C nationwide.
On Friday, the highest temperature was recorded at 34.8°C in Jashore, Khulna division, while Saturday’s minimum was 17.4°C in Tetulia, Rangpur division.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:19pm on Saturday and rise at 5:40am on Sunday, the bulletin added.
