Iran has officially confirmed the death of Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri, who succumbed to injuries sustained earlier.
A statement by the IRGC, carried by the IRNA news agency. said that Tangsiri died due to “the severity of his injuries”.
The confirmation follows a claim made last week by Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz, who said the commander had been killed alongside other officials in what he described as a “precise and lethal operation” conducted by Israeli forces.
