Global smartphone brand Infinix has unveiled new mobile innovations at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, highlighting satellite communication technology as part of its push for uninterrupted connectivity beyond traditional mobile networks.
The satellite feature allows smartphones to make voice calls and send text messages directly via satellite, enabling communication in remote areas, during travel or in emergencies when cellular networks are unavailable, the company said in a press release.
The system automatically switches between mobile and satellite networks without manual setup.
Infinix said the technology supports two-way voice calling and basic messaging, usable through speaker mode or Bluetooth devices, and is aimed at scenarios such as natural disasters, rural connectivity gaps and outdoor use—key challenges in parts of Bangladesh.
The company said its upcoming NOTE 60 Series smartphones will be among the first to integrate the satellite communication feature, bringing advanced connectivity into mainstream devices.
Other innovations showcased included a new liquid cooling system for heavy usage such as gaming and AI-based applications, a modular AI accessory ecosystem, active visual backplate technology, and gaming accessories including a wireless magnetic controller.
Infinix said the developments reflect its vision for an “always-on connectivity” era and a long-term plan to build a Space–Air–Ground connectivity ecosystem combining satellite and mobile technologies worldwide.
