The operations of the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) located at Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka resumed on Thursday morning.
The Indian High Commission told the Times of Bangladesh that all activities of the IVAC at Jamuna Future Park have been running since 9am.
On Wednesday, IVAC operations remained suspended from 2pm over security concerns. The visa centre had published a press release on its website in this regard.
The move came following an announcement of July Oikya’s “March to Indian High Commission” programme in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, nearly two hours earlier on the same day, the Ministry of External Affairs of India summoned the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in New Delhi to convey Delhi’s deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in Bangladesh.
However, police stopped the July Oikya march in the capital’s Badda after the Indian High Commission strongly urged that the safety of its officials be ensured.
