The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Sunday issued a suo motu order summoning Barrister Mohammad Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan Fuad, general secretary of Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party).
He has been directed to appear in person on 4 November to explain allegations of making adverse remarks regarding the tribunal’s trial process and verdicts of crimes against humanity.
The order follows comments Fuad allegedly made during a recent AB Party event, where he remarked about the tribunal’s trial process, saying, “Sacks of transactions are taking place here”.
Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim confirmed the order to journalists.
