Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) marked the 56th Independence and National Day by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War.
A team of ICSB members and officials paid floral tributes at the Jatiyo Smriti Soudho in Savar on Thursday, according to a press release.
The programme was organised under the supervision of ICSB Dhaka Regional Chapter Sub Committee Chairman Syed Mahmud Hasan.
The day’s observance began with the hoisting of the national flag at the ICSB premises by ICSB Vice President Md Sharif Hasan, followed by the singing of the national anthem by participants.
Members later visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial, where they laid wreaths in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and observed a moment of silence as a mark of respect.
ICSB Secretary in Charge Md Shamibur Rahman, along with members of the Dhaka Regional Chapter Sub Committee, fellow and associate members, students, and officials of the institute, were present at the programme.
