ICSB, BAUST sign MoU to expand CS education access

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Faculty of Business Studies of Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur to strengthen academic collaboration and expand access to Chartered Secretary education, the institute said in a press release on Thursday.

The agreement aims to improve curriculum, create an accelerated pathway for BAUST students to enroll in Chartered Secretary courses, and promote resource development, knowledge sharing, and joint workshops, seminars and conferences.

ICSB President Hossain Sadat and BAUST Registrar Colonel Chowdhury Saif Uddin Kawsar signed the agreement at ICSB premises in Banglamotor on Tuesday.

Students of BAUST will be able to enrich their professional careers through the Chartered Secretary course under the collaboration, said ICSB President Hossain Sadat.

The partnership is expected to benefit both organisations and strengthen professional education, he added.

Expanding the reach of the Chartered Secretary course beyond Dhaka is a key outcome of the agreement, said BAUST Registrar Colonel Chowdhury Saif Uddin Kawsar.

ICSB Senior Vice President and Chairman of Education Committee Md Rafiqul Islam presented an overview of the institute and highlighted the importance of such initiatives for future professional development.

ICSB Vice President Md Sharif Hasan, Treasurer Md Mizanur Rahman and Council Member Mohammad Shahajahan also shared their views at the event.

ICSB Secretary in Charge and Senior Executive Director for Finance and Administration Md Shamibur Rahman and Director of Education Kazi Andaleeb Amin attended the programme.

BAUST Associate Professor and Additional Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell Md Mahmudul Hasan and Assistant Professor and Head of Accounting and Information System Rakibul Islam were also present.
