The International Cricket Council (ICC) has warned India captain Suryakumar Yadav against making political comments, after Pakistan lodged a complaint during the Asia Cup.
Officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) raised the matter at a press conference in Lahore on 14 september, accusing Suryakumar of making inappropriate political remarks following the first India–Pakistan encounter of the tournament. While the ICC has acknowledged the complaint, no disciplinary action has yet been announced.
In a parallel development, India have filed a formal complaint with the ICC against Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan. The issue stems from their on-field conduct during the match in Dubai on sunday. The ICC has not yet issued a response to India’s complaint.
