BFF Academy U-17 football team have advanced to the final of the Second Tianwu Liufang Cup after securing a commanding 4-0 win over Henan Provincial Experimental High School U-17 in the semifinal held on Friday in Lijiang, China.

The Academy boys will face Wuhan U-17 China team in the final, scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, at the same venue. The match will kick off at 1 pm Bangladesh time.

Displaying dominant form throughout the match, BFF Academy took the lead early when Raihanul Islam found the net in the 13th minute. Just four minutes later, Tahsam Khan doubled the advantage with the team’s second goal.

Topon Hossain extended the lead further by scoring the third goal just before the end of the first half. After the break, Mohammad Hedayet Ullah sealed the win by adding a fourth goal for Bangladesh.

Earlier in the tournament, BFF Academy delivered an impressive start, beating hosts Shenyang U-17 by 4-0 in their opening group-stage match. They followed it up with a dominant 8-0 win over Sri Lanka Academy Football U-17 team in their second group encounter.

However, the Academy boys suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Wuhan U-17 China team in their final group match, finishing as group runners-up.

In the quarterfinal, BFF Academy booked their place in the last four with a 3-1 victory over Shanghai Yanggpu District Amateur Sports Center U-17 team.
