All Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for Tuesday have been suspended following the tragic Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash into a school and college campus in Dhaka’s Uttara.
An official notification stated: “In light of the catastrophic training plane accident at Milestone School and College that caused significant student casualties, the interim government has declared today a national day of mourning. Consequently, all HSC and equivalent examinations under education boards have been postponed.”
Rescheduled exam dates will be announced later.
The Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into the school building Monday afternoon, killing at least 22 and injuring over 150. The government declared Tuesday a state mourning day for the victims following the fatal crash.
