The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Monday at 10am. The overall pass rate stands at 62.25 per cent.
Out of the participating examinees, 1,138,877 students passed, while 690,608 failed. A total of 116,676 students achieved GPA-5.
For candidates who did not get their expected results, the education boards have announced the process for re-scrutiny or answer script challenges.
Professor Jasmin Taslima Banu, controller of Dhaka Education Board Examinations, announced that applications for answer script re-scrutiny can be submitted from Tuesday until 17 August.
The entire application process must be completed online directly through the designated website (rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd).
Step-by-step application guidelines
Submitting Information: Applicants must visit the e-portal, enter their roll number, registration number, and select their respective education board from the drop-down menu before clicking “Submit” button.
Mobile Number: In the next step, a functioning mobile number must be provided. The final re-scrutiny results will be sent to this number via SMS.
Subject Selection: Subject-wise marks and grades will be displayed on the screen. Students can select the specific subjects they wish to have re-scrutinised and click the “Pay Fee” button. For subjects consisting of two papers, candidates must apply for both papers.
Fee Payment: The re-scrutiny fee is set at Tk150 per paper. Payments can be made via digital payment gateways such as bKash, Nagad, or Sonali Seba. Detailed instructions regarding fees can be accessed via the ‘Help’ button on the portal.
Final Submission: After the fee is paid, applicants must return to the application page and click “Submit” button to complete the process.
The education boards have clarified that no changes can be made to the application once the fee is paid, and the fee is non-refundable. However, before payment is completed, applicants can modify errors in their selected subjects by clicking “Delete” button.
If a candidate wishes to add new subjects after paying the fee, they can do so following the same procedure while keeping the same mobile number.
The education boards have explicitly stated that no manual applications will be accepted, and candidates must apply solely through the e-portal.
