As Ramadan progresses and Eid shopping gathers pace, banks are competing to attract consumers through festive campaigns, turning card payments into a key gateway for savings, shopping, dining and lifestyle experiences.
Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC has joined the race with a broad Ramadan programme offering cashback, dining privileges and shopping discounts, reflecting how top-tier banks structure campaigns to drive card usage during one of Bangladesh’s busiest spending seasons.
The campaign combines restaurant deals, retail cashback, digital payment incentives and travel rewards, designed to encourage customers to use cards for everything from groceries and fashion purchases to iftar gatherings and online orders.
Turning iftar into a premium experience
One of the centrepieces of the campaign is a dining promotion aimed at premium cardholders.
Dutch-Bangla Bank VIP Banking Cardholders, Visa Signature and Mastercard World credit cardholders can enjoy a “Buy 1 Eat 4” iftar buffet offer at selected five-star hotels during Ramadan. Cardholders can use the offer once per day and up to three times throughout the holy month.
Participating hotels include Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka, Le Meridien Dhaka, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka, The Westin Dhaka, Radisson Blu Dhaka, Radisson Blu Chattogram, Crowne Plaza Airport, Crowne Plaza Gulshan, Holiday Inn Dhaka and Grand Sylhet.
The arrangement highlights how banks partner with premium hospitality brands to position credit cards not only as payment tools but also as lifestyle products.
Cashback across everyday spending
Beyond dining, Dutch-Bangla Bank is offering cashback incentives across a wide range of daily spending categories.
Credit cardholders can receive 20 per cent cashback on point-of-sale transactions during Ramadan, capped at Tk1,200 during the campaign period.

Customers can receive a maximum cashback of Tk600 per day. The campaign includes a wide network of retail partners including Aarong, Agora, Apex, Artisan, Bata, Burger King, Infinity Mega Mall, Lavender, Lubnan, Utshab Super Market, Meena Bazar, Prince Bazar, Richman, The Basket Limited, Top Ten, Unimart, Wholesale Club and Yellow.
QR payments and digital spending
The bank is also encouraging digital payments by offering cashback on QR-based transactions. Cardholders and Rocket users can receive 20 per cent cashback, capped at Tk600 during the campaign period, by scanning Dutch-Bangla Bank QR codes through NexusPay or the Rocket app.
For card transactions, the daily cashback limit is Tk300 while Rocket users can receive up to Tk100 cashback per day. A minimum transaction of Tk1,000 is required.
Participating outlets include Bay Emporium, Easy Fashion, Gentle Park, KFC, Lotto, Orion Footwear, Pizza Hut and Sailor.

The campaign also extends to travel and food services. Cardholders can receive 20 per cent cashback, capped at Tk600, on online ticket purchases through BD Tickets and Shohoz.
The ticketing offer requires a minimum transaction of Tk1,000 and provides a daily cashback limit of Tk300. For food delivery orders, Dutch-Bangla Bank credit cardholders can receive 20 per cent cashback up to Tk600 during Ramadan.
The offer requires a minimum order value of Tk200 and provides a daily cashback limit of Tk200. Participating platforms include Pathao, foodpanda and foodi.
Rewards for top spenders
To further encourage card transactions, the bank has introduced a Top 25 Mega Award campaign. Under the programme, the highest spending 25 debit, credit and prepaid cardholders will receive Dhaka–Cox’s Bazar–Dhaka couple air tickets along with a one-night stay at a selected luxury hotel or resort.
Winners will be selected based on the highest transaction volumes at participating merchants.
Discounts beyond cashback
Alongside cashback programmes, Dutch-Bangla Bank is also offering discounts of up to 20 per cent at more than 200 partner outlets.
The discounts apply across categories including lifestyle products, footwear, beauty care, furniture, electronics, jewellery, restaurants, tailors and fabrics, leather goods and cosmetics.
The bank said the Ramadan campaign reflects its effort to bring greater value and convenience to customers during the holy month.
By combining dining offers, cashback incentives and retail discounts, banks increasingly aim to make cards central to consumers’ festive spending.
For customers, the result is that everyday Eid purchases — from groceries and clothing to restaurant meals — can translate into savings and rewards when paid through bank cards.
